After 3 years of use in the shower here’s what they look like. To keep the Cedar looking great scrub them in the bath or shower. (I had a Pine soap holder and it went all black from mould. Cedar will not allow mould to grow).

All my wooden soap holders are now left raw timber as they work better that way to absorb moisture and keep your soap dryer longer.
These holders are ideal for pump soap bottles as well.
The wood colour may vary from batch to batch being hand-made from natural timber. Some discolouration may occur being a natural wooden product even if a varnish or sealer is used on the wood.
